A fun version of the horse or unicorn, suitable for galloping along. This is big enough for a young child, or with a longer dowel, even for an adult. The horse can be made of many fabrics, sturdy for play, like denim, corduroy, upholstery fabrics, etc. The unicorn looks pretty in satin, but is more delicate for more careful play. Satin ravels, so should be lined with muslin or cotton. Cotton velvet or wale-less corduroy may be used. Unicorns don't have to be white. The mane may be made from yarn, macramé cord (brushed out), or drapery fringe. The horn is hand sewn on, then spiraled to look twisted. Instructions are given for notching and drilling the dowel to secure the head to the stick. Happy trails.
