A long toy, great for a boy

This is a simple pattern that allows as much creativity as you have. It may be made of a plain fabric, left plain, or decorated any number of ways. Choose snake-skin print or use fabrics from your scrap bag to make a striped or patchwork design. Any firm fabric will do, but avoid heavy fur or shag fabrics, as it will look more like a caterpillar than a snake. One variation is a section of stretch fabric to make a bulge of “dinne"r”, Another is to make the stretch stomach with a zipper in which the small mouse lives. A bigger stretch section could be a pajama bag. There are many suggestion to make diamonds, stripes, Seminole patchwork or other fancy snakes. Eyes are felt applique, with a felt forked tongue.
