The aardvark is an African anteater. The word is Dutch for "earth pig". It has scant hair, so the skin shows through. Thus, it would be most natural made in a short-napped fabric like velour, corduroy or a smooth fabric like a non-stretch double-knit. Prints would be whimsical. It has strong claws for ripping open ant hills and an extensible tongue to collect the insects. Its large ears are upright, so they should be stiffened.
