Bison
The bison pattern comes in two sizes (both are included):
Finished size: Small is 7.5" tall, Large is 12" tall
Paper Pattern pieces: 14 for each size.
This is a cute version of the American bison, also called buffalo. This looks best with a thick, curly fur across the head and shoulders, with a short- nap fur, velvet, velour or no-wale corduroy for the rear and legs. There were occasional albino bison, sacred to some Indian tribes, so you could use white lamb's wool for the thicker fur. Vinyl makes more realistic looking horns and hooves, but felt would be easier to sew. You might want to put supports, like popsicle sticks, in the legs to keep them from bending.
